There are a lot of other things that cause asthma flare ups for us - perfumes, dust, cold temperatures, exercise, etc etc.

You have to weigh each side and see what you think.

For us, allergy shots dramatically reduced the allergies my kids were experiencing. They still have allergies - just not as bad as before.

It's a balancing act as a parent, trying to do the right thing for your kids!

Good luck!My Life as an Asthma Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702075700890289018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7856422208388515286.post-52963393348637897952017-11-12T17:37:25.547-08:002017-11-12T17:37:25.547-08:00I am also trying to find out if the shots are caus...I am also trying to find out if the shots are causing my son's asthma flare ups. He started the shots about 6 months ago and has had 4 asthma flare ups when he normally has 3-4 during a whole year. I'm really considering stopping the shots. It's just part of our lives and we deal with it.

There are so many other medical conditions out there that can REALLY be debilitating. I don't know how I missed this comment, I'm so sorry!

I hope you found the information you needed.

We haven't had an asthma attack from shots, but my daughter's allergies do get a LOT worse the night she gets shots.

We also have had a son who experienced anaphylaxis after shots.

I hope the quick build-ups works for you. I think that would be way too strong for my kids.

I hope you are doing well!My Life as an Asthma Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13702075700890289018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7856422208388515286.post-86419966046389491352014-06-24T11:22:26.491-07:002014-06-24T11:22:26.491-07:00I offer my sympathy to you and your kids. And if such mild allergies disrupt our everyday efficiency, I could only imagine how inconvenient your case is. Anyway, it’s great to know you’re managing well, despite a few allergy fiascos now and then. Take care!

Hugh Mounsey @ U.S. HealthWorksHugh Mounseyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15972554739550413984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7856422208388515286.post-91242969534125703992013-02-16T19:28:56.896-08:002013-02-16T19:28:56.896-08:00Do you know if the shots can trigger asthma if the...Do you know if the shots can trigger asthma if the serum is too strong? I had a welp like that top picture, but thanks to three shots, it was as big as a normal bandaid. And I kept having asthma attacks whenever I went back. They've stopped giving them to me until the asthma is under control but I just wondered if anyone else seemed to see a relationship between asthma getting worse with shots. (I will admit, I was doing one of the quick build-ups, where you get like six injections per visit.)Loraine Lawsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16904913897859078569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7856422208388515286.post-48838370320595479272013-01-30T10:47:15.161-08:002013-01-30T10:47:15.161-08:00Happy I could help!
